JAVShelf is an adults-only catalog. We store the account you create (name, email, hashed password), the reviews and Want/Watched marks you submit, and an age-gate cookie so we do not ask again on this browser.

We do not sell personal data. Session cookies keep you logged in. The age-gate cookie (javshelf_age) only records that you confirmed you are 18 or older.

Official purchase buttons may become affiliate links later. If they do, we will still only send the retailer the click — not your JAVShelf email or lists.

This development build keeps data in a local SQLite file. Do not put real production secrets in it.
